Boiler installation and replacement

A boiler replacement that fits the whole home.

Replacing a boiler is a useful moment to look at what the heating system needs to do. The new appliance should suit the rooms it heats, your hot-water demand and the equipment already in place.

HeatMason plans boiler installations and replacements across North London. We explain the options, assess the wider system and define the work before you commit.

Define the replacement properly

A straightforward replacement and a change of system are different projects. We establish whether the existing arrangement remains suitable, whether equipment should move and whether controls, radiators or hot-water storage need attention. That gives the proposal a clear basis.

  • Planned replacement of an ageing or unsuitable boiler.
  • Review of combi, system or regular-boiler arrangements.
  • Boiler installation as part of a wider heating upgrade.
  • Associated controls and hot-water changes where the design requires them.

Look beyond the old boiler's label

Amir assesses the home's heating needs, hot-water use, existing system and proposed installation position. Accessible pipework, the flue route, condensate drainage, controls and service access all influence what can be installed sensibly. Copying the old appliance's size or position is not a design decision on its own.

Choose how heating and hot water will work

A combi can avoid the need for a separate hot-water cylinder, but the household's hot-water demand and incoming water supply still need assessment. A system with stored hot water uses space for a cylinder and brings different installation requirements. We explain the trade-offs in relation to your home, including how you use bathrooms at the same time.

If you are considering a heat pump as well, raise this at the start. It is worth comparing the scope and implications before choosing a replacement route.

Know what the proposed work includes

The proposal sets out the recommended equipment and agreed installation scope. Existing-system work, controls, removal of equipment, access and any related making good need to be clear. We also discuss the practical interruption to heating and hot water before installation is arranged. Costs depend on this complete scope, rather than the appliance alone.

One lead through the decisions

Amir reviews your enquiry personally. Where a paid survey is appropriate, its scope and fee are agreed before booking. He surveys, designs and specifies the system, then issues a written proposal. During delivery he attends and oversees installation, commissions the system and takes you through handover.

The aim is dependable comfort, sensible controls and lower avoidable energy use. Any running-cost benefit depends on the home, the previous system and how the new installation is used.

A little more clarity

Questions worth asking.

Can you replace my boiler without changing the whole system?

A limited replacement may be appropriate. We assess the existing system and identify any additional work needed for the proposed installation, with the scope explained before agreement.

Can the new boiler go somewhere else?

A different position may be possible, subject to the flue, drainage, pipework, access and relevant requirements. Moving it can change the cost and disruption, so it needs surveying.

Can you give a fixed price from a photograph?

Photographs help Amir understand the enquiry. The installation price needs an agreed scope and sufficient assessment of the home; an appliance photograph alone cannot establish that.

Can you service the boiler afterwards?

Yes. Boiler servicing is available to both new and existing customers. The service scope and appointment arrangements are confirmed when you enquire.
